Role Overview:
Could you be our next Licensing Specialist? Globe Life is looking for a Licensing Specialist to join the team!
This role is responsible for initiating and monitoring the lifecycle of agents appointed with various Globe Life companies to enable them to sell products for their appointing entity. This role ensures agents meet all required federal and state licensing criteria and that agent data is accurately reflected across internal and external systems. The position requires the collection, cleaning, verification, recording, and retrieval of information from multiple sources. It involves evaluation of documents and timely updates to licensing records in internal and regulatory systems. The Licensing Specialist ensures data accuracy, supports compliance, and enables accurate downstream processes like commission payments.
This is a remote/work-from-home position.
What You Will Do:
  • Initiate and monitor the lifecycle of agents appointed with various Globe Life companies to enable product sales authorization.
  • Maintain accurate agent records across multiple systems (Mainframe, SOAR, CELS, OnBase, and government portals).
  • Collect, evaluate, and verify licensing data from multiple sources and update records with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ensure accurate setup of agent hierarchy and licensing information to support downstream processes like commission payments.
  • Secure and process sensitive agent information in compliance with internal and external privacy regulations.
  • Review appointment requests and ensure agents meet licensing and company criteria.
  • Process appointments, terminations, demographic changes, and biographical updates.
  • Monitor shared inbox and respond to inquiries from agents, internal departments, or external regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate with state Departments of Insurance and vendors on behalf of the company.
  • Escalate issues related to workflows, system discrepancies, or agent concerns to supervisors.
  • Respond to agent questions via phone and email, offering appropriate guidance and support.

What You Can Bring:
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • 2 years of office or administrative experience.
  • Insurance background, especially Agent Licensing, highly desirable.
  • Experience with database management (e.g., SSMS) very helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn various computer applications and internal systems.
  • Strong alpha and numeric data entry skills; types 40-45 wpm minimum.
  • Good math aptitude and basic accounting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Department of Insurance processes and compliance requirements a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to review information and draw logical, independent conclusions.
  • Ability to be highly accurate, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to maintain focus and concentration for extended periods.
  • Ability to meet department and production-driven deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data with discretion.
