Job description


Position Summary
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced, and highly motivated senior level Logistics Analyst to join our NATO SeaSparrow Project Office (NSPO) team in Arlington, VA. The selected candidate will offer cross-functional logistics, integrated products and programmatic support for the ESSM Block 1, ESSM Block 2 and future missile variants, its components and associated equipment. The role is intended for a senior subject matter expert who understands how production, configuration, reliability, and supply support decisions affect long-term readiness, fleet support, and lifecycle logistics. Specific support elements involve cross-functional logistics activities related to missile sustainment, production-line impacts, spares, repair parts, provisioning, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), supportability, and in-service support. This is a part-time job offering up to 20hrs a week.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cross-functional logistics and analytical support to the international functional leads for configuration management, reliability, DMSMS and in-service support.
  • Conduct research, compile data, offer expert analysis and prepare coordinated responses regarding sustainment, sparing, repair parts, provisioning, and supportability considerations affecting missile systems and associated support elements.
  • Assess the logistics impact of production changes, configuration changes, reliability trends, obsolescence, and supply support issues.
  • Coordinate across functional areas to ensure logistics considerations are incorporated into configuration, reliability, DMSMS and in-service support activities.
  • Review program schedules across spares, repair parts, provisioning, in-service support, and sustainment planning and offer impact and risk assessment recommendations.
  • Prepare logistics-focused assessments, white papers, data calls, briefing inputs, and support materials for assigned work areas.
  • Participate in technical and logistics integrated product discussions with program stakeholders in support of assigned responsibilities.
  • Support international and consortium logistics matters associated with missile readiness, sustainment, and lifecycle support.
  • The candidate must be available for scheduled virtual meetings, document reviews, and coordination during normal core business hours, as required.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, systems engineering, or a related field. Additional 5 years of directly relevant demonstrated experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum 12+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in missile systems, logistics, sustainment, product support, reliability, provisioning, or in-service support.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional logistics activities for complex defense systems.
  • Experience with spares, repair parts, provisioning, supportability, or sustainment planning.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how active production-line decisions affect sparing, repair parts, provisioning, readiness, and long-term sustainment outcomes.
  • Understanding of ITAR, EAR, and other relevant U.S. and international export control regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in engaging effectively with government entities, foreign representatives, and contractors.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time hybrid contractor support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise technical and logistics materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret DoD clearance to be considered for this position.

  • Extensive knowledge of releasability protocols and experience in managing sensitive and classified information.
  • Extensive knowledge of International Navy/DoD weapons systems acquisition processes, including OPNAV Resource Sponsor POM and equivalent international processes a plus.
