Job description

Position Summary

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support our General Surgery practice in Corydon, IN. This role exists to help deliver efficient, patient-centered clinic visits through accurate clinical support and dependable administrative coordination.
Key responsibilities include preparing patients and exam rooms, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, maintaining and updating patient records, and completing front-desk and phone tasks as needed.
Required qualifications/skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant certification or degree preferred
- 1+ year of medical assisting experience
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Current annual CPR certification
- Proficiency with office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copier, telephone)
- Strong verbal/written communication and precise documentation (terminology, spelling, grammar)
- Analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 8:00 AMโ€“4:30 PM, plus one additional 8:00 AMโ€“4:00 PM day as needed. Apply to be considered.
