This comprehensive approach to treatment, the gold standard in care for opioid use disorder, has been shown to prevent more deaths from overdose and lead to long-term recovery. Our clinics are all outpatient and office-based, with clinics in Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Day in the Life of a Part-time Medical Director
  • Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in our outpatient clinic settings

  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment

  • Complete medical documentation per Crossroads standards

  • Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic care to patients, including referrals to other medical providers and community services

  • Provide injections if needed

  • APP collaboration (additional stipend for supervision of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants)

Schedule & Locations
  • Primary center: Tyler, TX

  • Target weekly hours: 8 hours (in person once a week 5am-11am and admin work no more than 30 minutes 4 days a week)

Education and Licensure Requirements
  • MD or DOwith an active, unrestricted Texas medical licensure, DEA and authorized to practice medicine in Texas.

  • Two (2) years of experience in addiction medicine, preferably with experience treating patients with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

  • Board certified in primary specialty in one of the following: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice, Psychiatry

  • TX Driver's License.

  • Must meet applicable requirements of the Texas Administrative Code governing Narcotic Treatment Programs and Medical Directors.
