Part-Time Maintenance Engineer

Location: Windsor Locks, CT
Position Type: Part-Time

Position Summary

The Part-Time Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall upkeep of the hotel's physical facilities, mechanical systems, and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance, responding to service requests, and supporting the hotel's operations to maintain Hampton Inn brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Complete minor repairs on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.

  • Respond promptly to guest service requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal disruption.

  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized.

  • Monitor and maintain pool, fitness, and laundry equipment in compliance with safety and health regulations.

  • Assist in maintaining fire safety systems, alarms, and emergency procedures.

  • Track and log completed maintenance tasks, parts used, and report any recurring issues to management.

  • Work collaboratively with hotel team members to support overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications
