Part-Time Legal Secretary/Receptionist for Small Boise Law Firm

Small Boise law firm is seeking a dependable, organized, and friendly Legal Secretary/Receptionist to work directly with one attorney in a supportive small-office environment.

This long-term position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping clients, works well independently, and appreciates a professional but personable workplace. The successful candidate will become an important part of the day-to-day operation of the practice and will have meaningful responsibility and flexibility. Retirees or returning professionals are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
  • Conduct new client intake calls
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and agencies
  • Organize and maintain case files and calendars
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and hearings
  • Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents and correspondence
  • Assist with discovery organization and processing
  • File documents in Idaho State and Federal courts/agencies
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year law office experience preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Good writing, proofreading, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working independently in a small office setting
  • Familiarity with workers’ compensation, personal injury, or litigation matters is helpful
  • Ability to become a Notary Public (firm pays fee)
  • References required

Schedule

Flexible part-time position averaging approximately 25-30 hours per week that can be tailored to your circumstances. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE (depending on experience).
