Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant -Float
Location: Kitsap County (Float Position)
Compensation: $35-$40
Type: PRN, Part Time-Float
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a PRN/part-time float capacity. This position will support therapy needs throughout all of Kitsap County, providing coverage wherever needed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAPTE accredited 2 year associate PTA degree program
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a PTA in this state
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Minimum 1-year recent work experience as a PTA

  • As a PTA, you will conduct treatments as assigned by the Physical Therapist (PT) and outlined in the treatment plan, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care in the comfort of their own home
  • In this role, you will be responsible for conducting various treatments that focus on muscle strengthening, coordination, mobility, sensory awareness, and balance activities
  • You will monitor each patient's response to interventions and consult with the PT for any necessary modifications to the treatment plan
  • Additionally, you will play a vital role in training and educating patients, families, and caregivers on the use of assistive devices, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge to support their loved ones effectively
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in weekly team meetings to discuss patient care plans, allowing for a comprehensive approach to treatment
  • We believe in building strong relationships with our patients and their families, and we provide the training, support, and resources necessary to help you fulfill your passion for healthcare
  • Conduct treatments associated with muscle strengthening, coordination, mobility, sensory awareness, sitting and standing, transfer training, balance activities, gait training, range of motion activities and modalities
  • Monitor patient's response to intervention and consult with the Physical Therapist if modification is required
  • Train and educate patient, family, and caregivers in the use of assistive devices
  • Assist the PT in the evaluation process and in identifying short-term and long-term goals and treatment plans
