Description
Position Summary: To assist in the daily operation of the Recreation & Senior Center full-service kitchen. This position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and requires the ability to work in a multi-task environment with little to minimal direct supervision. Must have the ability to work flexible shifts and hours in order to accommodate department and City special events as needed.
Examples of Duties
  1. Assists in preparation of dessert for daily lunch program
  2. Assists Kitchen manager with ordering and supply including inventory control
  3. Check-in orders and ensures proper storage
  4. Keeps pantry organized daily or as needed
  5. Prepares ala-carte orders for lunch program
  6. Maintains paperwork for daily and monthly lunches
  7. Prepares costs sheets
  8. Assist with clearing, cleaning of tables after lunch
  9. Assist with dishes as needed
  10. Assist with the daily senior lunch delivery service
  11. Customer Service- treat all customers and staff respectfully and courteously- accommodate all customers to the best of our ability.

Typical Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Flexible with scheduling
