Opportunity to join an established pediatric pulmonology clinical practice comprised of inpatient consultations/rounding, ambulatory clinic, bronchoscopy, and virtual medicine. Pediatric Pulmonology at Southern California Permanente Medical Group currently consists of 3 Pediatric Pulmonologists across the Southern California region. Together, we care for the KP Southern California population which currently spans 4.6 million members and over 1 million pediatric members.

We are recruiting a full-time Pediatric Pulmonologist to join our group in San Bernardino County (SBC). KP Fontana Medical Center is a member of the Childrens Hospital Association and is one of three tertiary medical centers in the Kaiser Permanente Pediatric Care (KPPC) network. At SBC, we serve as the primary centers of care for the diverse pediatric population of the Inland Empire area. Our services include pediatric hospitalists, NICU, PICU, and emergency department. We place great emphasis on fostering a strong culture of collaboration and support among pediatric medical and surgical specialties not only between SBC service area but also across the KP Southern California region. Finally, we play an active role in training the next generation of physicians both in teaching resident physicians and as a designated clerkship site for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. ย 

Potential clinical roles include:ย 

  • Outpatient consultationย and follow-up care
  • Inpatient consultation and rounding
  • Performing bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, participation in aerodigestive and home ventilator programs.
  • Providing virtual medical care
  • Physician-physician advice via telephone and electronic advice communication tools
  • Shared call schedule with other KP pediatric Pulmonary physicians
  • Opportunity for mentorship and clinical teaching of KP School of Medicine students.
  • Participation in Pediatric Aerodigestive Clinic
  • Managementย  of SBC Home Ventilator Program
