This position will work to process donated items into inventory to be sold in our Stores and will interact with customers while stocking theย salesย floor.ย Excellent customer service skills areย a must! This position works in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.ย 

Our Retail Centers are open 9 to 9 Mondays through Saturdays and 9 to 8 Sundays. Part-time positions are available. Please tell us about your availability. For this position, availability to work weekends is a must!ย 

Pay: $16.87 Hr. This position is eligible for Daily Pay!ย ย Work today, get paid today! Part-Time employees in our Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate I, Retail Production will primarily work in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold. This process includes pricing and testing guidelines as required. The Associate is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The Associate may occasionally be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service. The Associate may be assigned to various areas that they have been trained in to include hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes per the business needs. This position may occasionally work in donations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI)s for assigned duties.ย 
  • Sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.) which include season, color, and quality of product.
  • Hang, size and price, tag, and prepare items to be sold on the sales floor.
  • Inspect and quick test items as needed that plug-in or run on batteries to ensure the product is in good workable condition.ย 
  • Make decisions to price according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (good, better, best), which may include researching the itemโ€™s value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards.
  • Ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
  • Provide excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers; answer product questions as needed.
  • Rotate or pull old or unsold product in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed as necessary.
  • May have additional responsibility of processing E-Commerce product (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.).
  • Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
  • Ensure work areas are clear and organized and adhere to continuous improvement standards.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
  • Cross-train in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.
  • Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.ย ย

Education:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.

  • Ability to use judgement to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.

  • Must have the ability to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.
