Summary

The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting part-time faculty position in Italian, beginning in August 2026. The position includes teaching three courses-one in the Fall semester and two in the Spring semester. We seek a generalist to teach elementary and intermediate Italian language courses. Ph.D in Italian at time of appointment is preferred, but candidates who are ABD or have an M.A. will also be considered.

The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting part-time faculty position in Italian, beginning in August 2026. The position includes teaching three courses-one in the Fall semester and two in the Spring semester. We seek a generalist to teach elementary and intermediate Italian language courses.Ph.D in Italian at time of appointment is preferred, but candidates who are ABD or have an M.A. will also be considered.

Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible to apply for support to present at a conference or attend a professional development program through the Provost's Supplemental Research Fund. The College will support reimbursement of relocation costs within its published policies. The College offers full benefits and a salary of $70,000.

The College will not support H-1B visa applications that require the $100,000 employer fee.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
