Family Services Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Client Services
Reports to: Family Programs Manager (1)
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Part-time (20 hours)
Preferred Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday amp; Saturday

Position Summary
The Family Services Coordinator is primarily responsible for conducting assessment appointments to onboard clients in the Earn While You Learn (EWYL), Beyond Basics Parenting (BBP), and Next Step Programs. Additionally, the coordinator supports Spanish-speaking clients by facilitating appointments, connecting them with community resources, and providing Spanish translation as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  2. Ability to provide support and guidance to clients from various backgrounds.
  3. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and administrative skills, as well as being dependable and punctual.
  4. Strong commitment to the sanctity of human life and biblical sexual ethics.
  5. Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and accountable to a local Bible-believing church.
  6. Agreement with Choices’ Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and policies of the organization, and is committed to the Ministry of Choices.
Family Services Duties:
  1. Conduct intake appointments for both English-and Spanish-speaking clients to assess needs and determine appropriate placement in EWYL, BBP, or Next Step programs.
  2. Promote and encourage participation in educational programs.
  3. Assess client needs to offer referrals, spiritual encouragement, and assistance with goal setting.
  4. Maintain strict confidentiality and sensitivity when handling client information.
  5. Proactively manage any projects and all other duties the Family Programs Manager assigns.
Administrative Duties:
  1. Prepare materials for new clients before appointments; after meeting, create their charts, schedule them for a return visit to the specific parenting program, and complete administrative duties.
  2. Assist with all administrative tasks directly related to our Family Services program (making copies, filing, etc.).
  3. Audit and maintain client files for accuracy and compliance.
  4. Track and manage program-related data such as client appointments, referrals, and Baby Bucks distribution.
  5. Collaborate with Men’s Services to ensure appropriate support and coordinated care for male partners of incoming clients.
  6. Professionally manage communication via phone, text, and email.
  7. Manage opening and closing responsibilities for the center on Saturdays or as needed, check clients out for appointments, and ensure they are scheduled for appropriate follow-up visits.
General Staff Duties:
As requested by the Executive Director, Client Services Director, Family Services Manager, or your supervisor:
  1. Attend staff meetings.
  2. May require occasional travel to attend ongoing training and conferences
  3. Attend Choices events and other events as needed, including SOHLs and baby shower.
  4. Participate in representation to churches and organizations.
  5. Take an active role in the organization’s network strategy, including hosting a table at the annual Choices Fundraising Banquet and participating in the Walk for Life.
  6. Commit to being an active learner, staying educated about life issues as well as professional development.
