To thrive as a Part Time Inpatient Coder, you need a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding systems, and typically a certification such as CCS or RHIT. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software is essential for accurate and efficient code assignment.
