Job description

SUMMARY

The Part-Time IT Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, support, and improvement of the organization's technology systems. This position provides technical support to employees, assists with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, supports IT-related projects, and helps maintain secure and efficient technology operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Management may assign additional duties as needed.

Performs all I.T. related duties for the Human Resources Director including:

  1. Assist in the development and maintenance of IT systems and software applications
  2. Provide employee support for computer hardware, software, account access, and network-related concerns.
  3. Identify, troubleshoot, document, and assist in resolving technology issues in a timely manner.
  4. Coordinate with approved IT vendors regarding projects, updates, repairs, and system improvements.
  5. Support efforts to maintain the confidentiality, security, and integrity of technology systems and organizational information.
  6. Update and maintain IT records, procedures, documentation, and inventory as assigned.
  7. Remain informed regarding relevant technology practices, updates, and security awareness while staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  8. Prioritize work on multiple projects and respond appropriately to support requests.
  9. Any other duties assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technology role preferred.
  2. Strong Knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and basic networking concepts.
  3. Ability to troubleshoot technical concerns and communicate solutions effectively.
  4. Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with employees and vendors.
  5. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Additional education, certifications, or experience in information technology are preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must demonstrate professional communication, confidentiality, reliability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact effectively with employees, vendors, and stakeholders.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Microsoft Certifications.

Experience of database management.

Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and tools.
