We are seeking an ATE Test Lab Technician/Operator for a part-time, temp-to-hire role in Aliso Viejo. This individual will support ATE lab activities, working closely with test and product engineers, while maintaining the lab environment to ensure high productivity and efficient operations. The schedule for this role is a graveyard shift from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 3-4 days per week.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform manual and/or handler-based testing of ICs in ATE and/or bench environments.
  • Maintain inventory and tracking of engineering lots, tools, commonly used items, and equipment.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot electrical circuits down to the component level. Perform soldering and rework on fine-pitch components (0201, 0402, QFN, BGA, etc.).
  • Maintain and coordinate calibration and upkeep of electrical lab equipment.
  • Adhere to all lab safety and compliance policies.
  • Perform other lab-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Experience working in an IC engineering lab.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to document work and write basic reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM (3rd shift) at least 3-4 days per week; specific hours and workdays may be discussed.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, moving equipment, and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Candidates currently pursuing a bachelor's degree are also encouraged to apply.
  • Two years of industry experience, preferably with IC handling, electrical and mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IC testing in ATE and/or bench environments, including manual testing and ATE handlers.
  • Hands-on experience with bench test equipment such as power supplies and oscilloscopes.
