Why We Need Your Talents:

Live! Casino & Hotel Brand is searching for an experienced HR Leader to grow with our organization and support the ongoing success of Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia.

This executive level role is responsible for the successful leadership, management and direction of all aspects of Human Resources on the property. In addition to the leading HR for the existing temporary facility, the role will drive the HR strategy for the permanent property opening scheduled for December of 2027.


Where You'll Make an Impact:

· Leads and develops all efforts related to the Company Culture & Values

· Oversees staffing, recruitment, workforce development, Team Member relations and engagement, training, leadership development, HR systems, processes, and SOPs.

· Collaborates with Community Relations to plan and execute community and Team Member events and activities.

· Manages and ensures compliance and reporting for all federal, state and local regulation/guidelines for hiring, wage & hour payments, benefits/ERISA, and EEOC compliance.

· Oversees compensation reviews, Fair Labor Standards Act practices, and unemployment matters.

· Manages the Wardrobe function - budget, inventory and uniform distribution.

· Establishes clear structures, assignments, and priorities for departmental staff.

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

· Ability to analyze and interpret department and organization for needs, solutions and results.

· Ability to manage and resolve complex problems and issues.

· Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.

· Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, applicable health regulations, and gaming regulations.

· Knowledge of Department of Labor regulations Fair Labor Standards Act, EEOC regulations, American with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act and Health Care Reform Act.

· Working knowledge of human resources, payroll and benefits software.


Must-Haves:

· Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ experience in all aspects of human resources with a minimum of three (3) years at the director/sr. manager level managing a professional level staff. Must have generalist experience inclusive of staffing/recruitment, employee relations and training and development.

· Experience in the gaming, hospitality, retail or entertainment industry is preferred.

· Four (4)-year degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience is preferred. A Graduate degree would be a plus. SPHR is also preferred.

· You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.

· Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by the Virginia Lottery or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Physical Requirements

· Ability and willingness to work an irregular and extended work schedule. Understanding the business is 24/7 and the needs of the business dictate work schedules for the management team as well as others.
