Job description

The Human Resource Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the employee lifecycle within the organization, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position is responsible for administering comprehensive HR programs including benefits, compensation, and performance management to support organizational goals. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, addressing employee relations issues and facilitating effective communication across all levels. By maintaining accurate personnel records and overseeing disciplinary procedures, the role ensures consistency and fairness in HR practices. Ultimately, this position contributes to building a motivated, productive workforce aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

This position is located in Hialeah Hospital with local travel to 4 other hospitals as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role with exposure to employee relations and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with management to implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Process leave of absence of employees.
  • Maintain and update personnel records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including performance reviews and disciplinary procedures, to promote employee development and accountability.
  • Support benefits department, including enrollment, communication, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
