Part-Time Hotel Maintenance TechnicianPay: $14–$16 per hour, based on experience
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Part-Time Hotel Maintenance Technician to help maintain our hotel and ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate has facility maintenance experience, takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
This position is ideal for someone who can identify what needs to be done, stay productive throughout their shift, and complete projects efficiently and thoroughly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Perform commercial painting and touch-up work as needed
  • Clean and maintain HVAC equipment and PTAC units
  • Assist with basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical fixtures, furniture, doors, locks, and other hotel equipment
  • Keep maintenance work areas, tools, and storage areas clean and organized
  • Identify maintenance concerns and communicate needed repairs or supplies to management
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and outstanding maintenance needs
  • Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the property
  • Respond to urgent maintenance needs as assigned
  • Follow all hotel safety procedures and applicable policies
Qualifications
  • Previous facility, hotel, apartment, commercial, or general maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience with commercial painting and HVAC/PTAC cleaning preferred
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks thoroughly
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 40+ pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
