As a Security Officer Part Time - Healthcare in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in a government behavioral health care setting, following established entry, identification, and reporting procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
