As an entry-level healthcare business analyst, you analyze a healthcare provider or health insurance company’s performance or plan to recommend areas for improvement and optimization. You research market trends, advances in technology and organization, and regulatory shifts to recommend different forms of improvement that an insurance company, provider, or medical facility can implement to enhance performance, increase customer service, and lower costs while remaining competitive. Other responsibilities include developing surveys, gathering and collating internal and external data, designing models to track performance at a medical care facility, and writing and presenting reports for stakeholders.
