Job description

Stamford Health is seeking a Telemetry Monitoring Technician to join the Cardiology team!

Available shifts: 

  • Part-time Days - 2 Shifts/week, 7am - 7:30pm. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Documents and interprets patient's cardiac rhythms at regular intervals to identify dysrhythmias. This is evidenced by obtaining and interpreting baseline rhythm strip on each monitored patient. Measures and documents accurately the PR and QRS intervals on new & existing patients electronically. 
  • Communicates with registered nurse all arrhythmias and activates emergency notification system with any life-threatening rhythms.
  • Provides a safe, clean, and orderly environment, contributes to efficient departmental operations to control cost and ensure productivity. 
  • Communicates equipment malfunctions to the clinical engineering department, nurse manager, or designee.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, or visitors
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous nursing assistant, monitor technician, EMT, or PCT experience preferred
