Job description

Part-Time Medicare Insurance Administrator

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medicare Insurance Administrator for a small, professional insurance office in North Haven, CT. The ideal candidate has experience working with Medicare insurance products and enjoys providing exceptional customer service while keeping daily office operations organized and running smoothly. This part-time opportunity offers $20.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience, with full-time hours available during the annual Medicare enrollment season.

Schedule:
  • Starting in July: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
  • Office is closed on Fridays during the part-time schedule
  • Busy season: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM from October through the second week of December
Responsibilities include:
  • Answering client calls and responding to email or in-person inquiries
  • Providing professional customer service and administrative support
  • Typing, filing, copying, scanning, and preparing correspondence
  • Managing and updating client database information
  • Generating reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Handling confidential client information with care and discretion
  • Reconciling monthly commission reports
  • Maintaining office supplies and inventory
  • Assisting with broker product training meetings and consumer educational seminars
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Medicare plans, Medicare enrollments, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, or related Medicare insurance products is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Word and Excel
  • Comfortable with typing, data entry, reports, email, and office systems
  • Excellent phone, written, and in-person communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office setting
  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a small office environment
  • Connecticut Life and Health Insurance License preferred, or willingness to obtain after proven ability
