Job description

LTC Language Solutions is looking for an ambitious and energetic Government Proposal Writer who
will work alongside the sales team with the aim of securing new or recurring government business opportunities.
The Bid Writer will work alongside the sales team with the aim of securing new or recurring business opportunities through bid opportunities. This position is responsible for gathering information from active RFPs, overseeing timelines, and coordinating proposal-related activities. This role will require someone to work closely with the Compliance Coordinator and Leadership team to execute submissions. This role supports proposal development and contract strategy on a part-time basis, focusing on priority opportunities and efficient, well-organized proposal execution. Responsibilities are scoped to align with a flexible workweek and may vary based on active opportunities and business needs.
Proposal Writing & Strategy
1. Responsible for proposal development, pricing, strategy and delivery.
2. Search for opportunities through known sites.
3. Use AI to increase efficiency and number of bids submitted
4. Writes proposals, especially those specific to government and corporate contracts.
5. Review and analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and related documents.
6. Manage company GSA outreach and any government clients including making quotes and contracts.
7. Determine proposal requirements and coordinate with other departments for input.
8. Respond to all approved opportunities including creating timelines and assigning duties to team members writing proposals on, evaluating what is being requested, gathering information, and writing the proposal.
9. Monitor the process for each opportunity and track progress to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
10. Ensure the proposal and all writing is compliant with RFP instructions and criteria.
11. Check ongoing progress of submitted proposals.
12. Maintain templates to support in writing of proposals.
13. Understand company service offerings, experience, and capabilities.
14. Conduct research projects related to bid landscape and contracting.
15. Communicate with all departments to ensure knowledge of key contract requirements.
16. Maintain quarterly metrics for funnel of bids submitted or reason for no-go, keep statistics on wins and submissions
17. Keep up to date on current government contract issues, best practices, and emerging requirements.
18. Assist department leaders with monthly and quarterly metrics related to contracts, recruiting, onboarding, and other information related to contracts and subcontractors.
Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree and/or minimum 2 years' experience preparing written proposals.
โ€ข Proficient and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
โ€ข Strong communication skills (oral and written).
โ€ข Familiarity with FAR and DFAR.
โ€ข Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet all deadlines.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and as a team.
โ€ข Knowledge of GSA Schedule Contracts is a plus.
