Part-time game designers often face challenges such as staying up-to-date with rapid project changes and maintaining clear communication with full-time team members. Since they may not be present during every meeting or sprint, it's important to proactively check project management tools, participate in scheduled syncs, and document design decisions thoroughly. Building strong relationships with team leads and developers can help ensure their contributions are aligned with ongoing work and that their feedback is valued. Leveraging collaboration platforms and maintaining a flexible schedule for critical meetings can also help part-time designers stay integrated and effective.

They play a crucial role in ensuring the game's mechanics, balance, and user experience are engaging and enjoyable.
