Applicants MUST be current students at DigiPen Institute of Technology to qualify for this position.
  • Student Employment at DigiPen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job.
  • Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.
  • Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.

This position is ONLY open to current students, eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award.

We are looking for a Front Desk Representative who is ready to get started in a fun, flexible, and fast-paced work environment. This position mainly supports the full-time Front Desk staff during their breaks and time off. The position offers an opportunity to work with the staff on ad hoc projects.
Shift Times: Dependent on class schedule*

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inform students of available campus resources, such as counseling, career services, finance services, academic support, etc.
  • Handle sensitive information and communication with discretion and confidentiality, in accordance with campus privacy policies (e.g., FERPA).
  • Assist with the use of office technology such as computers, printers, copiers, or other services.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies (pamphlets, flyers, forms, etc.).
  • Ensure that visitors follow campus policies and security procedures (e.g., checking IDs or signing in).
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.
  • Assist with the management of mail and package distribution.
  • Greet visitors, students, faculty, and staff with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Direct students, faculty, staff, and all other visitors to the appropriate department or office.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, or event bookings for student organizations or departments.
  • Assist other campus departments or staff members as needed in their daily operations.
  • Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked.

Wage Range:
Wage ranges are based on Washington State's minimum wage requirements.
$17.13 - 18.25 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen

Working Conditions:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 90% sitting and 10% standing.
DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
  • Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
  • Good Academic Standing - not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
Once you have applied for - and the supervisor decides to offer you - a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived. Once the Waiver is returned to us, we'll continue you through the hiring process.
