Job description

Growing peer-reviewed Long Island CPA Firm seeking an experienced part time accountant. 2-4 days per week. The firm does Audits, Reviews and Compilations, all levels of tax return work and a specialization in Forensic Accounting. Very interesting work since the firm gets many court appointments. This is a permanent year round position with very flexible hours!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Corporate/Individual/Partnership Tax Returns

  • Interact with business and non-profit clients

  • Assistance with Forensic Accounting cases

  • Assist with Audits, Reviews and Compilations

  • Business Valuation -Assistance โ€‹

    Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting doing tax returns

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Knowledge of Lacerte and OfficeTools a plus

  • Ability to communicate well with clients

  • Must be detail and deadline-oriented

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

    Flexible hours - will accommodate school schedules; returnees welcome
