A day in the life:

Under general direction, the Janitorial Floor Tech will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all carpeted and hard surface floors throughout the facility. This role requires expertise in using specialized floor care equipment, applying industry best practices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

What you'll do as an Exceptional Team Member
  • Deliver high-quality service and professionalism, upholding the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
  • Clean, maintain, and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet, and brick.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule.
  • Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Operate, maintain, and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly.
  • Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of "wet floor" signs and other precautions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Promptly report any safety hazards or concerns.
