About the Position
The Dishwasher is responsible for enhancing and supporting the overall dining experience for our residents, family members and guests. The Dishwasher is accountable for the safe loading, running and cleanliness of the dish machine and to provide a neat, clean, and organized dish area. This is to be handled with The Sterling Touch®. With service being professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and in a timely manner, resulting in a very high level of satisfaction for Residents and their guests. The Dishwasher position is under the general guidance of the Executive Chef in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedure, practices, and philosophies.
Qualifications and Requirements
The Dishwasher must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • One year or more fine dining or restaurant experience, preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language to communicate with other employees as well as Residents and their guests.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms to use all kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
