THE POSITION
The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking a Management Analyst I/II (Part-Time Temporary) to support the Communications Department with its digital accessibility program. This position is a 2-year limited-term appointment.
In this role, you will coordinate projects, track progress, and help ensure public-facing content meets Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards. The position works across departments and with vendors to advance accessibility initiatives and improve internal processes.
Key Responsibilities
This role contributes to the successful implementation of the City's digital accessibility efforts through day-to-day activities such as tracking progress, maintaining content inventories, coordinating with departments and vendors, and assisting with remediation efforts. It is a detail-oriented position focused on organization, accountability, and consistent follow-through across multiple projects.
In this role, key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate implementation of the City's digital accessibility plan
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and progress
  • Facilitate cross-department collaboration and meetings
  • Serve as liaison with internal teams and external vendors
  • Maintain inventory of public-facing webpages and documents
  • identify and prioritize high-risk or high-visibility content
  • Monitor remediation progress and ensure timely follow-up
  • Perform and coordinate remediation of accessibility issues in documents and web content
  • Administer accessibility tools and analyze results
  • Develop and support internal workflows, guidance, and training
  • Prepare status reports and maintain compliance records
  • Provide guidance to staff on accessibility standards and tools

Education:
  • Equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, information technology, communications, digital media, closely related field such as computer science, web design.

Experience:
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience preferably in municipal government, including experience in project coordination, program or administrative analysis, digital accessibility or ADA compliance efforts, document or content management, stakeholder coordination, and/or process improvement.

Management Analyst II (Part-time Temporary)
Education:
  • Equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, information technology, communications, digital media, closely related field such as computer science, web design.

Experience:
  • Two (2) years of responsible professional level experience performing duties similar to that of a Management Analyst I (Part-time Temporary) with the City of Rancho Cordova.
