Job Description
The Personal Banker is responsible for building and maintaining strong member relationships while supporting branch operations and financial services. This role identifies member financial needs and provides solutions such as new accounts, loan products, and banking services to help members achieve their financial goals. The Personal Banker also supports teller functions, account maintenance, and loan origination while ensuring compliance with banking policies and procedures. This position requires strong sales ability, customer service excellence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong member relationships through excellent service and engagement
• Open and maintain new accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and money markets
• Identify member financial needs and recommend appropriate banking and lending solutions
• Process loan applications, including credit evaluation and loan origination
• Meet sales goals by promoting credit union products and services
• Assist members with digital banking tools such as online and mobile banking
• Support teller functions including deposits, withdrawals, and account transactions as needed
• Ensure compliance with BSA, AML, OFAC, and internal credit union policies
• Maintain security of cash handling, vault access, and confidential member records
• Monitor for fraud and report suspicious activity according to policy
Qualifications and Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of banking, financial services, retail, or member service experience
• Previous cash handling experience required
• Experience working directly with the public
• Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work rotating Saturdays and staggered shifts
• Must be bondable

The base pay range for this position is $18.50 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
