Class Description
The purpose of this position is to conceptualize, design, and produce creative, high-quality marketing and communication projects that effectively support the institution's goals and enhance its brand identity.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of professional experience in graphic design, with demonstrated expertise in creating marketing collateral, environmental graphics, multimedia, and event signage using brand standards or visual guidelines.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.) on either Mac or PC platforms.
  • Experience preparing production-ready files and working directly with vendors and installers.
  • Familiarity with various file formats (e.g., JPEG, EPS, TIFF, GIF) and their optimal applications across digital and print media.
  • Strong understanding of technical production processes and digital file preparation, materials and specifications related to print and digital applications, including signage and environmental graphics.
  • A design portfolio is required.

Class Specific Essential Duties
  • Design and produce environmental signage graphics and related marketing materials in alignment with institutional branding and campus standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and the director and assistant director to define project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Create accurate, production-ready design and fabrication files for signage and print projects.
  • Manage the campus environmental signage project, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and approvals with vendors, installers, campus facilities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain production records and ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including coordinating bids and overseeing production processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-of installations, providing on-site or on-call support as needed.
  • Support additional design and graphic projects as assigned, for both print and digital marketing materials.

Position Specific Essential Duties
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Creative Services, external vendors and campus partners for signage projects.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to integrate new tools and techniques into the design and production process.
  • Adhere to institutional policies and guidelines for project bidding and vendor selection.

    The 403(b) supplemental retirement plan is available to all CCBC employees (Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees).
  • Roth 403(b) is a savings feature that is available when you open a 403(b) account. The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan - 457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorization form is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms.
