Set Up Assistant

Part-Time

Convention Center

Position:

The City of Sharonville is actively recruiting for a Part-Time Set Up Assistant to support operations at the Sharonville Convention Center. Under the direction of the Set Up Supervisor, the part-time Set Up Assistant will perform a wide variety of event support functions. Primary responsibilities include cleaning; setting up and tearing down room or equipment for facility meetings and programs, operating maintenance equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, etc.; and assisting full-time Convention Center staff with non-routine duties. Candidates must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Current shifts vary with a limit of 28 hours worked per week. Qualified candidates should have excellent customer service and communication skills; and the ability to work well with all levels of the general public.

Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package includes an hourly rate of $18.00. The City offers a highly-competitive part-time benefits package that includes; participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System; paid holiday, vacation, and sick leave after one (1) year of permanent employment; injury on duty pay; access to an Employee Assistance Program; individual membership to the Sharonville Community Center and more.

Requirements:

  1. Graduation from high school or passing of the General Education Development (GED) test.
  2. Experience in facilities maintenance or event set-up is desirable. A combination of additional education or professional experience and training may be considered.
