Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Rater specializing in Psychiatry and Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders to join our dynamic research team. This role involves conducting psychiatric and behavioral assessments for clinical trial participants, ensuring accurate data collection, protocol compliance, and high-quality research outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct standardized psychiatric and CNS assessments, including symptom severity scales and cognitive evaluations

  • Review and analyze clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and protocol compliance

  • Monitor participant progress, behavioral observations, and adverse events throughout clinical trials

  • Record and maintain patient data using electronic and paper-based systems

  • Collaborate with investigators, project managers, and research staff to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and ICH-GCP guidelines

  • Assist in training new team members on rating scales, assessment procedures, and documentation practices

  • Coordinate participant visits, assessments, and study-related activities

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards

  • Contribute to the successful execution of psychiatric and CNS clinical research studies

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with mental health populations

  • CRC Certification, BSN, Master's Degree, Foreign MD, Ph.D., or Psy.D. in Psychology or related discipline

  • Prior scale certification

  • Previous clinical research experience

  • Experience administering psychiatric and behavioral rating scales

Preferred Clinical Assessment Experience

Experience administering one or more of the following assessments is highly desirable:

  • MADRS (Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale)

  • CGI-S (Clinical Global Impression - Severity Scale)

  • CHRT-C (Concise Health Risk Tracking Scale - Clinician)

  • SCID-5 (Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 Disorders)

  • ATRQ (Antidepressant Treatment Response Questionnaire)

  • MGH ATRQ (Massachusetts General Hospital Antidepressant Treatment Response Questionnaire)

  • BTRQ (Bipolar Disorder Treatment Response Questionnaire)

Experience assessing patients with:

  • Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • ADHD

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
