Job description

Food For The Poor, one of the largest international relief and development organizations in the nation, does much more than feed millions of the hungry poor primarily in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance.  "Join us in our mission to serve the poorest of the poor."

Food For The Poor is seeking Catholic priests to preach on behalf of the poor we serve in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Summary:

Preaching assignments are on weekends in parishes and congregations throughout the United States. Applicants must have a love for the poor and approval of their superiors. The position requires at least one weekend of travel each month, one mission trip each year, and attendance at an annual convocation. Speakers must participate in weekly online meetings with Food For The Poor team members, as well as other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon.

The position begins as part time, but full-time employment may be available for those wishing to form deeper relationships with the parishes and congregations we serve.
