Job description

Part-Time Leasing and Onsite Apartment Manager (25 Units) – 2 Bed / 2 Bath Unit

Ramona Ave., Monterey Park, CA 91754

Are you an experienced onsite manager looking for reduced rent, quiet neighborhood, light and predictable work hours?

This is a great opportunity for a bilingual (English/Mandarin Chinese), organized, and reliable professional who enjoys maintaining a clean, well-run community, while living on-site!

Compensation:

  • Monthly Pay: $1,188.00
  • Housing (Manager's unit - required): 2-bedroom, 2-bath (located on the second floor)
  • Reduced Rent: $1,500 per month (paid by manager out-of-pocket)
  • Utilities Included: water and trash

Important: No office available, manager will work out of their unit.


Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 3 hours per day
  • Work must be completed between 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Total: 15 hours per week / 66 hours per month


Amenities:

  • Onsite laundry

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Daily property walks (cleanliness, safety, overall appearance)
  • Coordinate and report maintenance needs promptly
  • Communicate with residents (primarily in Spanish)
  • Show and lease vacant units (currently 1 vacancy)
  • Process applications and rental agreements
  • Keep common areas clean and presentable
  • Enforce community rules and policies
  • Work closely with property management team
  • Maintain notes and updates in AppFolio (preferred)


What We’re Looking For

  • Bilingual communication skills (Mandarin Chinese is a plus, not required)
  • 2+ years of recent onsite apartment management experience (within the last 2 years)
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  • Strong communication & organization skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (AppFolio is a plus)
  • Reliable, professional, and self-managed
  • No pets
