Job Title: Part-Time AP/AR Clerk (Construction)

Position Type: Part-Time (Monday through Friday)
Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Location: Riverside, CA area

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our general contracting team. This role manages daily financial transactions, ensures accurate project cost tracking, and helps maintain healthy cash flow. You will work Monday through Friday, providing consistent support for our office operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Review, match, and enter vendor invoices, process subcontractor payments, and manage lien waivers.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Prepare client invoices, track project progress billings, and conduct professional follow-ups on overdue payments.
  • Job Costing: Allocate expenses to correct projects to ensure accurate tracking of construction costs.
  • Financial Support: Reconcile bank and credit card statements, organize financial files, and assist with month-end reporting.

Key Performance Expectations

  • Precision & Detail: Absolute accuracy in data entry is critical to prevent costly billing errors, double payments, and flawed project margins.
  • Punctuality & Reliability: Strict attendance and on-time arrival Monday through Friday are essential to keep vendor payments on schedule and operations running smoothly.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with strong preference for a construction background.
  • Software: Proficiency with QuickBooks, construction accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for professional coordination with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Language: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly valued and considered a strong plus.
