Job description

POSITON PURPOSE: Craft exceptional beverages, provide warm and genuine service, and work with precision and care. Provide food items as ordered and to specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Understand full menu, including ingredients, preparation, and service standards.
• Consistently prepare quality beverages and dishes to standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, performing cleaning as assigned.
• Operate POS system accurately while multitasking and completing side work.
• Comply with accounting guidelines for processing payments and completing closing tasks at end of shift.
• Follow merchandising, stocking, rotation, and storage standards.
• Handle guest orders from start to finish, resolving complaints professionally.
• Assist in other areas of the marketplace as business levels demand.
• Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior hospitality, customer service, or barista experience preferred.
• Must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a register.
• Ability to effectively resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total.
• Outgoing, pleasant personality and the ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, and communicate with guests.
• Ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs., and perform required tasks.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and the ability to work under pressure.
