Role: Senior Accountant
Location: 1099 - Remote/Georgia
Job Type: Part-Time

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide part-time accounting support for multiple companies. This 1099 remote position is limited to candidates residing in Georgia and averages 30โ€“40 hours per month, with occasional in-office visits as needed. The ideal candidate has strong experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and QuickBooks Online. This individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records, accounting documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and month-end closing activities.
  • Manage payroll support, 1099 reporting, interest expense, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Perform cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, inventory-related accounting, and pricing analysis.
  • Maintain intercompany accounting and support intercompany billing using Clockify.
  • Maintain invoices, receipts, ACH authorizations, W-9s, tax codes, tax exemption certificates, mileage records, and accounting files.
  • Maintain corporate records, including Secretary of State filings, leases, contracts, subscriptions, and other accounting documentation.
  • Maintain QuickBooks Online records, including chart of accounts, deleted transactions, declined estimates, and supporting documentation.
  • Support State of Georgia business filings and ensure accounting compliance.
  • Maintain accounting templates, reference files, SOPs, work instructions, and master data.
  • Assist with expense reports, benefits administration support, rental workbook processes, and other accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of senior-level accounting experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing accounting and cost accounting required.
  • Strong knowledge of intercompany accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
