Job description

Job Title - Staff Accountant
Location - Bentonville, AR. Woodstock, GA. Jacksonville, FL. Montgomery, AL. Phoenix, AZ.

What You Will Do
  • Performs daily accounting activities, such as new vendor setup, expense report and sub-application review.
  • Create and execute general journal entries on a daily basis based on supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP.
  • Month-end close activities, including maintaining monthly and quarterly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and work in process schedules.
  • Assists with preparation of documentation as requested by external auditors.
  • Prepares special financial reports as requested by management by analyzing account information and trends.
  • Initiates accounting research to ensure all transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
  • Supports the accounting team by performing other assigned duties as needed.
  • Supports continuous improvement in the department by reviewing, recommending and implementing better methods for existing processes.
  • Working Conditions - Office setting, Full time, Periodic travel may be required to other offices.
  • Reporting Structure - Cost Accountant Manager or Assistant Controller

Job Requirements
  • Strong Analytical skills with a working knowledge of current tax laws.

  • 1-3 Years of Tax Accounting Experience
  • College Degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • Experience with online tax filings, preparation of corporate, sales and general business tax returns
  • Experience with Tax Research
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Communication skills, attention to detail
  • Construction experience, multi-state jurisdictional experience, CMiC experience
