Job Description 6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Property Accountant on behalf of one of our commercial real estate clients. This role is responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting for assigned properties while partnering closely with property operations. The Property Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting functions, support month-end reporting, and assist with ad-hoc projects that support the overall business.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: Manage accounts receivable and payable functions, including tenant billings, deposits, invoicing, and weekly check runs. Prepare and review monthly financial reports, cash analyses, budgets, and reconciliations for assigned properties.

Maintain general ledger accuracy, review rent rolls and aging reports, and coordinate management fees and annual 1099 processing. Support audits, owner reporting requests, and collaborate with property managers on delinquencies and operational needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, with at least 2 years of retail property accounting experience required.

Commercial real estate accounting experience, including CAM reconciliations, is required. Strong knowledge of GAAP with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
