Job description

Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 436FSS/FSR - NAF Accounting Office.
This position is considered Regular Part-Time. You are guaranteed 20 hours; however, you could work up to 40 hours per week. As a Regular Part-Time employee, you are eligible to earn annual leave, sick leave and sign up for benefits to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401(k) and NAF Retirement.
Duties
Help
Serves as a focal point of the NAF Payroll Data System, and Payroll related duties. To include, but not limited to, reports, and worksheet preparation, account closures, SF1150 completions, payroll adjustments, unemployment, and workers compensation issues. Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties including, but not limited to, ensuring compliance with AF instructions, manuals and operating instructions. Ensures all money is accounted for by balancing the daily activity reports. Prepares cashier reports and notifies supervisor of any discrepancies. Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposits are made in a timely manner. Performs monthly harvesting of all amusement/vending machines using privately owned vehicle (POV) or Government owned vehicle (GOV). Provides overall logistic support to FSS including all fixed assets and resale inventories for FSS. Prepares monthly subsidiary reports for inventory and capital expenditure accounts. Manages processes for the control and disposition of accountable / non accountable assets, fixtures and equipment (FF & E), transfers between activities and other bases and resolution of property account inventory discrepancies. Acts as FSS Vehicle Control Officer, by providing management for the vehicle fleet, both APF and NAF. Prepares consolidated vehicle reports for submission to AFSVA. Ensures vehicle safety training is conducted for 100% of all FSS vehicle users. Performs other related duties as assigned.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
  • Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and knowledge of procedures used to enter, modify, retrieve and delete information in an automated general ledger system: and the ability to analyze the interrelationship of accounts that are affected by varied transactions.
  • Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve discrepancies required.
  • Basic computer skills using Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel required.
  • Knowledge of NAF Payroll systems (SETS) preferred.

  • This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
