Job description


We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee, track, and evaluate daily financial activities. This role involves developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. The ideal candidate will work closely with our financial management team.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise the Company's financial accounts, payrolls, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets.
  2. Monitor the Company's transactions and debts.
  3. Prepare accurate monthly and year-to-date Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting statements as requested by Senior Leadership.
  4. Analyze pre-close statements with the VP, Secretary, Treasurer, and President.
  5. Reconcile all General Ledger accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  6. Approve new General Ledger accounts.
  7. Monitor credit levels for customers.
  8. Perform the Company's financial audits.
  9. Manage outside collection of delinquent accounts.
  10. Prepare and manage daily flash report and cash forecasting model.
  11. Develop standard costs for all locations and provide analysis on variances and actual cost behavior.
  12. Review routing and product structures for manufacturing inventory items.
  13. Review open and closed work orders at month end.
  14. Prepare data for quarterly and annual consolidated financial results.
  15. Develop and maintain operating procedures.
  16. Provide Senior Leadership with cost accounting and manufacturing data for planning and evaluation.
  17. Assist operations with cost behavior problems and analysis.
  18. Develop and analyze LCM calculations.
  19. Develop and analyze inventory calculations and reserves.
  20. Supervise and coordinate the physical inventory.
  21. Assist in the annual budget process.
  22. Maintain accounting records per the records retention policy.
  23. Oversee internal control systems.
  24. Provide timely and accurate information on operations to Senior Leadership for measuring production performance and decision-making.
  25. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President or President.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and manage the accounting staff.
  2. Accountable and responsible for all operations of the accounting department, including quality and safety of employees.
  3. Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and personal and professional growth.
  4. Train and educate department employees on proper procedures for accomplishing job safely, effectively, and efficiently.
  5. Ensure safety and accident prevention programs are in place and communicates these programs to employees.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  3. Two years experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager.
  4. Experience and understanding of standard costing, full absorption costing, and LCM calculations.
  5. Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  6. Experience utilizing ERP/MES.
  7. Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  8. Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  9. Superior data management and data analysis skills.
  10. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  11. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
