Job description

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a reliable Part Cleaner to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. In this role, you will operate washing equipment, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and inspect finished pieces for quality. A part cleaner removes oil, grease, dirt, and debris from mechanical or manufactured components. This role ensures all pieces are spotless and ready for assembly, inspection, or finishing. Your work directly impacts on the efficiency and quality of our production process.
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Clean metal and plastic components by removing oil, grease, dirt, rust, and other contaminants.
  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners, spray washers, and wash tanks, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Inspect cleaned parts to verify cleanliness and identify visible defects, residue, or surface imperfections.
  • Remove grease, rust, and grime from metal or plastic parts.
  • Mix and use specialized degreasers and solvents safely.
  • Dry, oil (for rust prevention) package, and prepare cleaned parts for assembly, storage, or shipment.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all environmental, health, safety, and hazardous waste handling procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts for cleanliness and quality.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE as required.
