Job Responsibilities

Kent County is accepting applications for seasonal employees to work at the
Parks Department. Successful candidates will provide superior customer service to visitors and assist with the care, cleaning, and general maintenance of the parks, trails, and facilities.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, operating lawn care equipment, cleaning buildings, restrooms, and other public areas, removing trash, caring for grounds and facilities, assisting park visitors, and monitoring park reservations. Some positions may include collecting payments for admissions, merchandise, concessions, and other fees. Successful candidates must also be willing to perform other duties, as assigned.
Age Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old to work at: Wabasis Campground, Millennium Park, and Kaufman Golf Course
Must be at least 18 years old OR a high school graduate (or equivalent) to work for all other Parks locations
Wage/Schedule Information:
M-F work will be paid at $16.00 per hour
Saturday-Sunday work will be paid at $17.00 per hour
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to follow and comprehend simple oral and written information
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must be able to operate manual and small power equipment and tools necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Must have basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance
- High school diploma or GED, preferred
