Scenic Paint Foreman

Intex Coating is seeking an experienced Scenic Paint Foreman to lead field crews on commercial themed environment projects throughout Central Florida. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising painters, coordinating daily operations, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience with scenic and decorative painting techniques, faux finishes, color matching, and specialty coatings, along with proven leadership skills and a commitment to craftsmanship.

This position primarily works third shift (overnight). Candidates must be available to work overnight hours, with occasional daytime shifts based on project requirements.

Key responsibilities include leading and supervising scenic painting crews on commercial and themed environment projects, coordinating daily work assignments to maximize safety, productivity, and efficiency, performing hands-on scenic painting, decorative finishes, faux finishes, color matching, aging, distressing, and specialty coating applications as needed, ensuring all work meets project specifications and Intex quality standards, conducting daily inspections to verify workmanship and project progress, communicating effectively with project managers, superintendents, clients, and other field personnel, training, mentoring, and developing crew members while fostering a positive team culture, maintaining safe, clean, and organized job sites, monitoring materials, tools, and equipment to minimize delays and maximize productivity, enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety policies, and completing daily reports and providing project updates to management.

Qualifications include a minimum of two years of supervisory experience as a foreman, crew leader, or supervisor in scenic painting, commercial painting, decorative finishes, or a related trade, experience with scenic painting techniques and themed environments, strong knowledge of decorative painting methods, faux finishes, color matching, and specialty coatings, demonstrated ability to lead crews while maintaining high-quality workmanship, comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms, reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Central Florida, availability to work primarily third shift (overnight) with flexibility to work occasional daytime hours when project schedules require, strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and basic computer skills for reporting and communication.

Preferred qualifications include bilingual (English/Spanish), experience working in themed entertainment or immersive environments, experience with epoxy coatings, intumescent coatings, electrostatic painting, lead-safe certification, and aerial lift certification.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods, ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts, ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and ability to work overnight shifts and occasional weekends as project schedules require.
