Paint Crew Lead – Lead the Team and Grow Your Career

Martin Painting & Coating Co. is seeking an experienced Paint Crew Lead to help coordinate commercial and industrial painting crews and support the successful completion of projects.

This opportunity is designed for an experienced painter who is ready to take on additional responsibility while continuing to work hands-on with a professional painting team.

Position Summary

The Paint Crew Lead helps coordinate daily crew activities, supports safe and efficient project execution, and helps ensure painting and coating work meets project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help coordinate daily activities for assigned painting crews.

  • Organize materials and equipment needed for project activities.

  • Help assign work to crew members.

  • Monitor surface preparation and coating application.

  • Help ensure work follows project requirements.

  • Communicate project needs and concerns to supervisors.

  • Monitor workmanship and jobsite conditions.

  • Reinforce company safety procedures.

  • Assist with equipment setup and cleanup.

  • Maintain an organized and professional work area.

  • Support and mentor less-experienced crew members.

  • Help identify issues that could affect project quality or schedule.

  • Work alongside the crew to complete assigned painting and coating work.

Qualifications
  • Previous commercial or industrial painting experience required.

  • Previous crew leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of painting and surface preparation.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Dependable and safety-conscious.

  • Comfortable working at heights and in commercial or industrial environments.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Smartphone required for timesheets and communication.

  • Ability to work at least two weekends per month.
