Job description

JOB TITLE

Quality Control Body Paint Specialist 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Paint quality control engineering position shall have an understanding of the automotive paint process, to enhance paint quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements.
    Inspect incoming raw material properties and perform online appearance checks 
    Investigate and analyze defective products and develop effective countermeasures
    Establish short-term/long-term counter measures to ensure smooth production
    Collaborate with Engineering and Production on quality improvements during current production and during new project development stage  
    Enhance suppliers quality level by conducting Supplier Process Audit (SPA) 
and reviewing their products, tools, and systems periodically
    Participate/lead BIP audit and Color Harmony sharing inspection results with suppliers, engineering and production to request and discuss improvement plan
    Manage assigned products to meet internal/external customer requirements
    Improve efficiency of quality control management system by learning and
applying new technology, knowledge, and equipment
    Ensure the adequacy of relevant procedures and systems in accordance 
to specification and applicable legal requirements
    Meet all other requirements as assigned

    Bachelor's degree required
    Valid driver's license required

Monitoring & Feedback    Efficiently execute tasks and maintain quality by continuously monitoring processes and parts; provide immediate feedback with alternative options as necessary

Preferred:
    Chemical Engineering major preferred or advanced degree in a related field
    Domestic / International travel required.

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
    Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
    Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
    Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed
When in Production Area (if applicable):
    Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
    Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25-30 pounds)
    Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
    Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
    Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
    Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
    Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
    Consistent and punctual attendance
    Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
