Job Title:Paint Associate

Reports to:Store Manager

Location:Ace Hardware, Evergreen

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Paint Associate

to assist our team in the maintenance, upkeep, and development of our Paint

department. The Paint Associate will be responsible for assisting in the

day-to-day operations of the Paint department, helping to ensure that all tasks are completed

efficiently and effectively, and that the department is maintained to the highest

standards, while delivering world class customer service. Wages are DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with paint identification and matching the correct
  • paint to their needs
  • Sell and apply various types of paints such as primers, sealers, and stains
  • Clean traffic lanes or inform customers about current sales or promotions
  • Take paint from the warehouse to the sales floor and restock supplies
  • Conduct demonstrations in paint application when applicable
  • Maintain the workflow by taking paint from the warehouse to the sales floor and restock supplies
  • Meet job responsibilities such as stocking paint supplies, cleaning up after painting projects, and organizing displays

  • Practice proper safety procedures while working near traffic lanes or other hazards
  • Provide customers with assistance in selecting the color, saturation, sheen level and additives as necessary
  • Assist customers by loading products into their vehicle when applicable
  • Ensure that all product containers are closed promptly to avoid spillage or contamination from dirt or other contaminants
  • Offer any sales promotions or incentives that may apply to particular product or transaction type
  • Post the appropriate signage to highlight special offers, end of day promotional items and product demonstrations
  • Perform all tasks in an efficient manner with proper use of material handling equipment specific to their department, availability of carts, dollies, hand trucks and/or forklifts
  • Utilize radio headset to communicate with store personnel, monitor and test equipment for proper operation
  • Perform additional duties as may be assigned by the manager.
