Job description

Position Summary

We are searching for a Paint Department Manager to oversee our client's operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for scheduling, workflow coordination, and leading a team of paint technicians in a spray booth setting. This is a leadership-focused position with minimal hands-on painting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the paint department including booths and prep areas
  • Schedule production and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines
  • Lead, coach, and supervise paint technicians
  • Ensure quality standards in paint application, color matching, and finishing
  • Identify and reduce defects, rework, and inefficiencies
  • Coordinate with production and quality teams on job priorities
  • Monitor inventory of paints, primers, and supplies
  • Maintain equipment and ensure safe, organized work areas
  • Enforce safety standards, PPE, and environmental compliance
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a wet paint / spray finishing environment
