Packing Associate

Are you detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced work environment? Are you ready to start the best job you have ever had at the best place you have ever worked? If so, EMC Precision is looking for a Packing Associate for our Sheridan, Indiana location and would love to meet you!



Core Responsibilities:

Responsible for preparing and examining products for shipment. Packs products according to customer requirements.


Primary Duties:

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Prepares activities to support outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Adheres identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies through routine cycle counts.
  • Operate a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage or workstation.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area utilizing 5S techniques and methods.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
